Ready....Hep!

What does that mean exactly?  Well, that is what they say to get you off the platform at trapeze school.  It is the jumping off point.  Speaking of which...

We wrapped Castle at 430am on Wednesday/Thursday so I am officially on hiatus.  Hiatus=vacation.  Vacation=travel.  Tomorrow I head off on the first stop of my world tour, beautiful Porterville.  Where?  The Bakersfield area.  Where? (You say again.)  On the way to Yosemite.  Ohhhhhhhh.

So here is the plan:
Saturday - Do about 6,000 errands then drive up to see my very pregnant best friend from high school and have a sleepover for old time's sake
Sunday - Drive the rest of the way to Yosemite, check into reserved room with 2 twin beds.  Because I am 5 years old.  Also, that was the only room available in the hotel when I booked.  Stare at the complementary bottle of wine I will not drink.  Also because I am 5 years old.  Contemplate destruction of elegant flowered wallpaper.  Go for hike instead.
Monday - More Yosemite.  Perhaps some wildlife watching.  Or cute park rangers.  Whatever I find first.
Tuesday - Drive back to LA, swing by Manzanar on the way.  Get ride to airport.
Wednesday - 135am fly to Hong Kong.

So that's what I got so far.

Not exciting enough for you jaded LA friends of mine.  Then I leave you with these photos of me from trapeze school.
And away we go...

Look ma, no hands.

Testing, 1, 2, 3...

Hello World! And by world I mean my mom, my sister, and any other curious friends or strangers who happen upon this little experiment in webtravel.

I will be heading out on a kind of amazing amount of travel this summer during which time I will have my phone turned off.  During this time my mother will imagine my horrific death/abduction/eventual selling into white slavery approximately 13-75 times per day.  Thus this blog.  A little daily proof of life video (depending upon the wi fi availability in Hong Kong, Bali, and South Dakota).

Since this is only a test, I will now be attempting to download a photo.  Were this an actual travel blog posting a very cute yet amatuer photo of exotic scenery or giant dinosaur statues would follow.  But, since I am still at work on not on my world tour yet, you're gonna have to settle for a photo of the breakfast I made for my friend Lauren last weekend.  At least it looks exotic.
